What is Ultherapy?

Ultherapy is a non-surgical alternative to a facelift. It works by lifting and tightening muscles on the Face, Neck, Brow, and décolletage. Ultherapy uses safe, time-tested ultrasound energy to induce natural skin retraction—without surgery or downtime.

Safe Ultrasound

Proven safe, ultrasound energy has been used in the medical arena for many years

Builds New Collagen

The triggering of increased collagen production restores skin elasticity and retraction.

The Non-Invasive Lift

No scalpels or injections mean minimal risk. Our own natural healing process does the work.

No Surgery

Sound waves gently heat deep tissue to trigger tightening without disrupting surface skin.

No Downtime

No recovery time means patients are able to return to their normal activities right away.

Just A Single Treatment

One 60- to 90-minute session is all that’s required to see results that last up to 2 years.

COMMON QUESTIONS

What Is Ultherapy
Ultherapy is the only non-invasive treatment approved by the FDA for lifting the skin on the neck, chin and brow. Ultherapy uses focused ultrasound to lift and tighten loose skin over time, without any downtime.
This is a breakthrough, non-surgical facelift procedure. No other anti-aging treatment harnesses the full power and versatility of ultrasound. First, Ultherapy uses focused ultrasound energy to stimulate the production and strengthening of collagen deep within the skin. Second, it is the only cosmetic procedure of its kind to employ ultrasound imaging that allows the administering medical professional to see the tissues requiring treatment. This ensures that the ultrasound energy reaches the correct areas with pinpoint accuracy.
Most patients report only minor and very brief discomfort. When the ultrasound energy is delivered, any tingling sensations pass quickly. Still, thresholds to pain vary, and Danik offers comfort-management options to those who are very sensitive.
While new collagen production will be stimulated for 3 to even 6 months after treatment, our skin continues to age with the passage of time. Therefore, after about two years, patients may be ready for a “touch-up.” Please note that this time frame will vary based on the age of the patient at the time of treatment, as well as the patient’s lifestyle, since smoking, alcohol consumption, exposure to the sun and ill health all accelerate the aging process.
Any side effects are temporary. Patients may experience slight redness for up to an hour after treatment. Some patients also notice minor swelling or tenderness, but it is very mild and quickly dissipates.
Based on each patient’s needs, Ultherapy will be recommended to treat the following areas:  Brow, Upper Face, Lower Face, Full Face, Full Neck, and Perioral Area around the mouth. These treatments range from $700 to $3,500 dollars. Unlike cosmetic surgery, there are no additional costs for an operating room, anaesthesiologist, pre-surgery lab work, and post-surgery medications. That makes Ultherapy both effective and affordable.
It takes just one treatment to deliver dramatic results. You’ll see some lifting and tightening immediately following the treatment, but the full effect will build gradually over the course of three months or more as existing collagen is strengthened, while the production of new collagen is stimulated.

A good candidate for Ultherapy is someone with skin that has some degree of laxity, to the point of looking, and often feeling, less firm. A lowered eyebrow line or sagging skin on the eyelids, for instance, is often the first sign of “maturing” skin. Loose skin under the neck and under the chin signals a patient might be a candidate. Typically, those in their thirties and older who have mild to moderate skin laxity are candidates.

While Ultherapy is not a replacement for a surgical face lift, there are many people who want some lifting but are not ready for surgery, either mentally, physically or financially. There also are younger people who want to “stay ahead of the game” as well as those looking to prolong the effects of cosmetic surgery.

Absolutely. Men and women respond equally well to Ultherapy.
